1) CBR project in Sendangadi village, Sub-district of Melati, Sleman District, Yogyakarta Province, since 2020.
2) CBR project in Canden village, Sub-district of Jetis, Bantul District, Yogyakarta Province, since 2020.
3) Pilot project "School Based Mental Health Program for Youth" for 4 Yunior Haigh Schools in Yogayakarta City, in collaboration Yogyakarta City Health Office and Nawakamal Mitra Semesta Foundation, started in September 2023.
ACTIVITIES IN YEAR 2022:
There are 8 activities carried out by the Nawakamal Mitra Semesta Foundation in 2022, starting from the village to the district level.
1) Nawakamal held a training. Training for village cadre mental health issues and community based rehabilitation for people with mental disorders. The training was held in Kaligintung Village, sub-district of Temon, Kulonprogo District, Yogyakarta Province: 3 days of training in May 2022 attended by 20 cadres.
There are 20 activities carried out by the Nawakamal Mitra Semesta Foundation in 2023, starting from the village, district and provincial level.
1) Facilitator of Training at Bantul District Social Affairs Office. Training on capacity development skills on how to handle and give basic services to people with mental disorders, people with disability, and homeless children. The training was organized by Bantul District Social Affair Office, Yogyakarta Proince, 9 and 11 March 2023, participated by 30 participants from the village cadre and services unit of the District Social Affairs Office.
2) Team Writer of Mata Hati Book. The staff of Nawakamal Mitra Semesta was invited by the Sleman District Health Office to be a team of book writer, together with team from Yakkum and the District Health Office. The book's content is about awareness, stories, and good practices including steps on how to develop community based mental health programs by the local community in the village. This book is like a guidebook to implement those programs, and would be distributed to stakeholders in all villages in the District of Sleman, Yogyakarta Province. The project duration is February to April 2023.
3) Study visit from the director of Terang Kasih Anugerah Foundation, based in West Sumba-East Nusa Tenggara (Indonesia) in March 2023. This foundation would like to learn about how to develop services and empower people with mental illness in the community because there are many cases of people with mental illness in its foundation project areas.
